Kristie Nixon has been building worlds since she was old enough to walk the streets of her small Idaho hometown, inventing stories to survive the silence around her.

Long before she thought of herself as an author, storytelling was already part of who she was.

A teacher named Mrs. Ballard recognized something in Kristie’s writing before Kristie could see it herself. She entered her work in a national competition, where it earned recognition and planted an early seed that would take years to fully emerge.

Kristie’s path from that young writer to published novelist was anything but conventional.

She dropped out of high school, earned her GED, completed a bachelor’s degree, and eventually put herself through an Executive MBA program. Along the way, she built a career through determination, curiosity, and a refusal to accept the limits other people placed around her.

But the worlds never went away.

Kristie plays Dungeons & Dragons, paints Warhammer armies, rides motorcycles, and owns a character-based live entertainment company bringing dinosaurs and themed characters to festivals, schools, and events.

For Kristie, storytelling has never belonged solely on a page.

It should be experienced.

It should create wonder.

And, when it’s done well, it should stay with you long after the story ends.
